Amanda Holden issues blunt verdict on Harry and Meghan as she says public 'don't care' about them

Amanda Holden, Heart FM Breakfast show presenter, has boldly stated the British public "don't care" about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's antics.

During her broadcasting gig, Holden weighed in after Graham Norton claimed that people just want the Sussexes' to "live their lives" in Montecito, California.

On Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, the 61-year-old TV icon questioned the extent to which the average UK resident is concerned with Harry and Meghan's life in the US.

He highlighted how their actions stand in stark contrast to the seemingly impeccable image of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Mirror reports.

In a 2023 interview clip, Norton previously expressed scepticism over the level of public concern, stating: "Do regular people care that much? I don't think they do. I think they just think let them live their lives."

Taking to the airwaves this morning, Holden cited Norton's earlier observations and concurred, adding: "I think you're right. I think the press makes so much of it but none of us really care."

Her fellow broadcaster Jamie Theakston voiced his agreement, saying: "I think we don't care that much."

The royal couple have been living outside of the Royal Family's shadow since their high-profile exit in 2020, taking up residence in the US instead of Frogmore Cottage.

The Sussexes have faced considerable media scrutiny since their exit due to several projects including Harry's explosive memoir Spare and the couple's candid Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.

Meghan Markle has also ventured into business with her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, eagerly anticipating the launch of its potential hit product - a rose wine.

The former Suits actress is set to join the ranks of celebrities like Kylie Minogue, Brad Pitt, and Sarah Jessica Parker who have launched their own alcoholic beverages.
