Amanda Owen shares photo with son Reuben before row erupts over Clive

Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen has delighted fans with a rare photograph alongside her son Reuben Owen, sparking both controversy and support in the comments section.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess, who gained popularity through the Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm, has been less active on social media following the show's cancellation and her split from Clive Owen at Ravenseat farm. Reuben, the eldest of the Owen brood at 20 years old, has since ventured into his own television career with the series Reuben: Life In The Dales, which recently concluded its debut season.

In a recent post, Reuben shared an uncommon snapshot with his mother Amanda, captioning it: "Picture of me and the boss" and tagging Amanda's Yorkshire Shepherdess account, which quickly became the subject of debate regarding his father, and Amanda's former partner, Clive Owen.

The photo shows a smiling Amanda in a pink gingham dress with a slightly revealing neckline, while Reuben sports a vibrant orange hoodie featuring his business logo, giving a thumbs up to the camera, reports the Express.

A contentious comment from @adamsikvin read: "Where is your father? Why don't you post his picture any more? " prompting responses from other followers defending Clive's preference for privacy. User @sunnygardener21 explained: "He made it clear he don't want to be in the limelight. He's done his bit and now he's retreated. His choice. He's a farmer, he's busy."

Another follower, @deborha480, chimed in: "FFS leave the poor man alone. He doesn't owe it to anyone to be on social media, least of all you." @alex_green1984 added: "Amanda explained prior to their separation that he didn't really want to be in photos on social media. The programme was always hers and never his. Not everyone wants themselves plastered all over social media platforms."

Clive Owen did appear alongside Reuben in the mini-series Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben and Clive, which then led to Reuben's solo series. Despite this, Clive has openly stated he isn't keen on a social media presence, even though his collaboration series with son Reuben pulled in higher viewer numbers compared to Amanda Owens More 4 show Amanda Owen's Real Farming Lives.

Praise was also given to both Reuben and Amanda from fans. @marie. lucas07 commented: "Lovely photo, I've loved seeing you grow up, your mum and dad have raised you into such a hard worker. I loved your series and hope you do another, good luck with your business."
