Amanda Owen and son Reuben have risked the icy lanes of their Yorkshire farm to carry out chores that couldn't wait for the wintery weather to pass.

The Our Yorkshire Farm star joined 20-year-old Reuben in the cabin of his tractor with hot drinks as they spread much around the farm despite the snow. Reuben revealed they had enjoyed listening to the radio together as they did their best to keep warm during a freezing day's work.

He also shared pictures of his mother Amanda passing him a hot chocolate and huddling up with him in the tractor as they drove around the scenic snowscape of their snow-covered fields, writing: "Although the my Deutz [tractor] is far to big for spreading muck it was best choice as it has a far better heater and radio than any of the others."

Spreading manure on fields is done to fertilise the soil to aid crop growth.

Fans of Our Yorkshire Farm were delighted to see Amanda on Reuben's Instagram feed. She did not appear in spin-off series Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben & Clive earlier this year, following her separation from Clive in 2022. One commented: "Nice to see your beautiful mum out and about Rubin you only get 1 mum ? Miss her on program xx take care out there [sic]."

Since the 49-year-old and her estranged husband Clive, 69, confirmed their separation they have revealed they both still live on the farm and continue to co-parent their nine children together. As well as Reuben they are parents to Raven, 22, Miles, 18, Edith, 15, Violet, 13, Sidney, 12, Annas, 10, Clemmy, eight, and Nancy, seven.

In the summer she shared pictures of her family enjoying the sunshine together — with husband Clive cooking sausages on the barbecue. The Yorkshire Shepherdess captioned the pictures: "Summer at Ravenseat." One photograph showed Clive watching several of their younger children playing in a river in the hot weather. Another image showed him and the family cooking sausages on a barbecue.

Amanda Owen runs a 2,000 acre working hill farm in Swaledale which is one of the remotest areas on the North Yorkshire Moors. Working to the rhythm of the seasons the farm has over 900 Swaledale sheep that are now entering the lambing season as well as cattle and horses. (Photo by Ian Forsyth/Getty Images)

They met in 1995, when she was 21 and he was 42. Clive's first wife – of 13 years – had recently left him and Amanda went to work on his farm as a shepherdess.

The Yorkshire family rose to fame in 2011, after their 2,000-acre working farm featured in The Dales with Adrian Edmondson. They have since made guest appearances on This Morning, and have starred in their own Channel 5 reality show Our Yorkshire Farm since 2018.
