Amazon retailer completes logistics park letting

A West Midlands logistics park has reached full occupancy. Furnolic Co. has expanded by letting a second unit and the last remaining space on Prologis Park Ryton near Coventry Airport.

The global e-commerce business has signed a ten-year lease agreement with the park's owner and operator, Solihull-based Prologis UK.

The unit adds a further 166,748 sq ft of logistics space to Furnolic's UK footprint.

The company, which trades under the names Songmics, Vasagle and Feandrea, is one of the largest retailers on Amazon and specialises in homeware, furniture and pet furniture.

Its international operations cover the US, mainland Europe, Canada and Mexico.

Director Tong Wang said: "Our continued partnership with Prologis in the UK and across Europe is testament to the company's ongoing commitment to customer service.

"Our longstanding relationship has meant that we've been able to grow sustainably in our core target regions."

Other businesses based at Prologis Park Ryton include carmaker Jaguar Land Rover and delivery firm DHL.

Tom Price, leasing director at Prologis UK, added: "Working with Tony and the team has been fantastic. We're always proud to be a part of our customers' growth.

"It has been a privilege to be able to facilitate Furnolic's expansion into another unit at Prologis Park Ryton, a location at the heart of the Golden Triangle of logistics here in the Midlands."

Avison Young, JLL and ILP Partners acted for Prologis UK and Realogis acted for Furnolic.
