Yahoo News Amir Khan: 'I'm A Celeb saved my marriage to Faryal Makhdoom'
Amir Khan has opened up about his personal life after being kicked out of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle on Friday [8 December] night, confessing that being apart from his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, has made their relationship stronger.
Amir and Faryal hit the headlines over the summer when they suffered an incredibly public falling out, with Amir insisting that he was set to divorce the pregnant beauty guru.

However, shortly before it was announced that he was going into the ITV reality show, Amir revealed that he and Faryal had reconciled.
Speaking to The Sun, Amir – who already has three-year-old Lamaisah with Faryal – said: “Family-wise being in the jungle has made me realise how important they are to me.
“In a weird way being away from them has made me feel closer to them. I definitely have more appreciation for my little girl and my wife Faryal, because I wasn’t around them.

“I was so far away. I missed them like crazy. I don’t think we’ll break up again now, we both know how much we need each other. It was a bit of a wake-up call for us both and it will only make us stronger.”
Amir also confessed that the only reason why they didn’t go through with the divorce in the summer is because in their Muslim religion divorce is void if the woman is pregnant.

The British boxer previously accused his American wife of cheating on him with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua – a claim that he later confirmed was false.
In the past, Faryal has forgiven Amir after he was seen with other women, including models Gulbahor Becknazar and Bella Gusamo, and after he was involved in a sex tape scandal.
