Amy Robach Doubts People Know 'the Real Me' as She Admits There's Been 'a Price to Pay' for Loving T.J. Holmes
The former news anchor said in her first TikTok video that she's hoping to "take back my narrative"
Amy Robach is re-introducing herself to the world.
The former GMA3 co-host joined TikTok on Tuesday and in her first video on the platform, she said that one of her goals is to “hopefully take back my narrative.”
“There may be some of you who know who I am from my former career in television. There might be others of you who know me from — unfortunately — the tabloids. And I’m pretty sure most of you don’t know who I am, so I’ll give you the rundown,” began Robach.
“I am 50 years old, I am the proud mom of two girls, [aged] 17 and 21. I have chosen love in my life and I’m very excited about that path. I’m living my truth. There has been a price to pay, but I’m excited about the future.”
Robach said that she loves “trying new things,” which is what sparked the idea of starting a TikTok account. She also threw in a shout-out to her podcast with T.J. Holmes, calling the project “a whole new adventure that I’m figuring out as I go along with my partner.”
“I’m excited to talk about who I am, how I live and what I stand for and hopefully take back my narrative if it’s something that you all think you know,” she continued. “I hope that I can show you what the real me and who the real me is.”
Robach’s second post on her account was a video of her and Holmes on a run in snowy New York City as she revealed they are training for the city’s half marathon in March. “Snow day run w/ bae :),” she wrote over the clip, which saw the former co-hosts run along the water and through some busy city streets as they bundled up for the cold temperatures.

Last year, the couple ran the half marathon together, too, just months after their relationship was exposed and ABC announced their exit from GMA3.
Since last March’s half, they’ve run yet another race together — the 2023 N.Y.C. Marathon — and have began sharing more details about their relationship, including its highs and lows.
In a December episode of their podcast, they answered a listener’s question about whether or not they’ll get married, and Robach said “It’s under consideration.”
“We did not enter this relationship for fun or for ‘Let's see what happens.’ We entered this relationship because we intended on spending our lives together,” she added.
Holmes joked that he wanted to marry her because of their age gap. “I want to marry you, in part, because you're 50 and I'm 46. And I'm very sick of introducing a 50-year-old woman as my girlfriend. That just sounds stupid.”

They’ve also opened up about the merging of their families, including Robach's two daughters with ex Andrew Shue and Holmes' daughter with his ex Marilee Fiebig.
“It’s just nice to see everything becoming normal and getting easier and effortless actually,” Robach said on a Jan. 9 episode of the podcast. “Because it was effort before, and maybe that was just us putting the effort on the situation but it's been great.”
