Andie MacDowell has claimed that she can communicate with her dead relatives and that her late uncle predicted her career through an Ouija board.

The Four Weddings And A Funeral star, 61, also said that she and her sisters were able to “make tables walk” when they were younger.

Opening up on People Now, the actress said watching the 1990 movie Ghost (which starred Whoopi Goldberg as a psychic) gave her and her siblings the idea of using an Ouija board to contact family members who had passed away.

She said: “My sisters and I really loved Ghost and the ideas of Ghost so we used the Ouija board talk to dead relatives.

“And they actually do communicate with us, FYI.”

“My uncle predicted a lot of the stuff that’s actually happened in my life,” she went on.

“And recently my sisters were like, ‘We need to get together and do it again’.

Quizzed about the insights her uncle had apparently given her, the mother-of-three said: “My career, basically my career.

“It was my career and that I was going to have horses, I wanted to know that I was going to have children.”

The actress dropped another bombshell when she said that she and her sisters “used to make tables walk too”.

The show’s hosts looked stunned but the star insisted: “I am serious, you put your hands together and they actually walk, they walk.”

MacDowell’s latest role is in black comedy horror film Ready Or Not, about a young woman whose in-laws are hunting her.

She has also had a guest role in the web television series Four Weddings And A Funeral, based on the 1994 film of the same name.
