Andy Cohen Doesn’t Want George Santos On Bravo, Ziwe Scores Interview & Expelled Congressman Starts Selling Videos On Cameo

George Santos has had some doors open, and other doors close following his expulsion from Congress following a scathing report from the House Ethics Committee that concluded he used campaign funds to afford personal luxuries.

On Sunday’s episode of Last Week Tonight, host John Oliver pled to Andy Cohen to cast Santos on The Real Housewives franchise on Bravo. A day after the HBO show aired, Cohen fired back and didn’t seem keen on giving Santos a role on the cable network.

“Let me be clear. We don’t want him,” Cohen said on his SiriusXM show. “Anyone who has had those traits [of a criminal and a liar] are people that were cast and then it’s like, wait a minute, this guy… everything’s not what it seemed. Kind of like what happened with the people of New York State.”

Oliver, a fan of The Real Housewives, took a moment from his show to state the case for why Santos belonged on Bravo.

“Santos clearly didn’t deliver for his constituents but he delivered hard for the rest of us. And I don’t want him to be in my government and I don’t want to sit next to him on an airplane but I definitely want him in Andy Cohen‘s menagerie of damaged human beings,” Oliver said on Sunday night’s episode. “Call this man now Cohen and pay him what he is worth.”

Over the weekend, Ziwe also made a call to Santos requesting an interview.

“Would you be interested in a pay-per-view interview? You’d be an iconic guest,” Ziwe posted on X, the social media network formerly known as Twitter.

Santos replied, “Let’s do it Ziwe.”

There’s no word about when and where the interview would take place.

With Santos out of a job, he’s looking to cash in on his fame and has signed up for Cameo, the digital platform where fans make requests to celebrities in exchange for a video.

On his profile, Santos calls himself a “former congressional ‘icon.'” Santos is charging $200 per message and fans can select from the following types of videos: holiday, birthday, gossip, pep talk, roast, advice and question.

Additionally, news broke this weekend that Santos would be the subject of an HBO Films project based on Mark Chiusano’s book The Fabulist: The Lying, Hustling, Grifting, Stealing, and Very American Legend of George Santos. The film will be helmed by Frank Reich who is best known for executive producing Veep for the premium cable network.
