Angelina Jolie Quits HUGE Movie To Avoid Working With Ex Brad Pitt

The Brangelexit story shows no sign of slowing down – with news emerging this morning that Angelina Jolie has now QUIT a major Hollywood production in order to avoid working with Brad Pitt, who was due to star in the film.

The former couple had apparently spent years trying to get the project – called ‘Africa’ – off the ground, with $110 million already pumped into the film.

Now, according to sources close to the film’s production team, Angelina has now stepped down from directing duties whilst Brad remains loyal to the movie and has decided to stay on.

Work was due to begin next year, but the breakdown of her marriage – combined with creative differences between Angelina and Skydance Productions, who are producing the movie – seems to have slowed the project down irrevocably.

Speaking to Heat Street, the source said: “This movie has been a nightmare to get off the ground from the beginning. Until the last few weeks Angelina was resolute in her intent to get it made but now she doesn’t want to direct it at all.”

“Brad Pitt was still interested in acting in the movie — for him, it was Seven Years in Tibet set in Africa and he wasn’t ready to give up on it. But Angelina now doesn’t want to have any kind of relationship with him, personal or professional.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad on Monday, citing a conflict over the celebrity couple’s six kids.

The 41-year-old actress’s lawyer Robert Offer said in a statement that the decision had been made “for the health of the family”.

He added: “She will not be commenting and asks that the family be given privacy at this time.”

According to US gossip site TMZ, Angelina filed the legal documents on Monday citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ and is now seeking custody of the children.

Sources connected to the couple said Angelina’s decision has been sparked by the way Brad was parenting the children, claiming she was “extremely upset with his methods.”

Despite rumours suggesting otherwise, there is no mention of any ‘third person’ in the divorce papers – the decision is solely about Brad’s ‘interaction’ with their kids.

Angelina lists the date of separation as September 15, 2016.
