Angie Harmon's 3 Kids: All About Finley, Avery and Emery

Angie Harmon is a mom to three daughters that she welcomed with ex-husband Jason Sehorn

Angie Harmon has three daughters — Finley, Avery and Emery — who are growing up to be look-a-like versions of herself.

The Rizzoli & Isles actress welcomed her children with her ex-husband, Jason Sehorn, before their split in 2014. Finley was born in October 2003 and was closely followed by her sister, Avery, who was born in June 2005. Harmon welcomed her youngest daughter, Emery, in December 2008.

Following her divorce, Harmon has raised her kids as a single mom. Though she remains amicable with her ex, she told PEOPLE in December 2023 that going at it alone has been difficult.

"When it's just you, there's a different sort of survival set of skills that take over, you pay more attention to things that you wouldn't normally," Harmon said. "You are more aware of things that you wouldn't normally be."

"You learn to be independent in a different way," she continued. "There's a toughness that comes along with someone who constantly has to travel by themselves and protect three girls."

Finley Faith Sehorn, 20

Harmon and Sehorn welcomed their first daughter, Finley Faith Sehorn, on Oct. 14, 2003, in Dallas. Finley and her family later moved just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, though that didn’t stop her from attending some fancy industry events with her mom.

In May 2022, Finley accompanied her mother to Variety’s Power of Women event in New York City where the two walked the red carpet together. Just a month later, she graduated from Charlotte Christian School.

“HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to this bright star… YOU DID IT FINLEY!!” Harmon wrote in an Instagram post announcing her graduation. “We are all so immensely proud of you & all that you have done & who you have grown to be!! Love you more than anything & everything!!!”

Finley started college the following August and, a year later, moved into her first apartment in Dallas — leading Harmon to marvel at the quick passage of time.

"I mean, Finley is 20 years old and I'm like, 'What?' ” she told PEOPLE. “She can't believe it. I can't believe it. So I've been telling people that my daughters are all teenagers for 10 years and now I have this 20-year-old ..."

Finley also followed in her mom’s footsteps regarding their joint passion for animals — Harmon started caring for a squirrel in October 2023 — and is frequently advocating for the family’s pet dogs.

Harmon told PEOPLE that her daughters, especially Finley, put on episodes of their mom’s hit TV shows to keep the family’s three rescue dogs calm while they’re home alone.

"When we have to leave the house, my daughters will turn on Rizzoli & Isles so the dogs think I'm still in the house," she said. "Finley does that all the time. My oldest would be like, 'Well, Mom, I just felt bad for them. So I just turned on Rizzoli & Isles, and they all just fell asleep in the living room.’ ”

Avery Grace Sehorn, 19

Harmon and Sehorn’s second daughter, Avery Grace, was born on June 22, 2005. When she was just 10 years old, Avery had the opportunity to make a guest appearance on her mom’s show, Rizzoli & Isles.

“Studying lines with Avery, rehearsing with her and then finally shooting the episode made me blissfully happy,” Harmon told PEOPLE in 2015. “It was not only a dream for me, but more importantly a dream come true for her.”

Harmon added that while she was thrilled to have her daughter on set with her, it could also be distracting as she couldn’t break character.

“It was also a new experience as I had to remain in character, but still couldn’t help watching her and feeling pride and joy for her as her mommy,” she said. “Watching the joy she had while she worked, her incredible ability and natural talent is something and I will never forget!”

Like her father, who is a former NFL player, Avery seems to have a penchant for sports — she played lacrosse and volleyball in high school.

Avery graduated from Charlotte Christian School in June 2024.

"We are all immensely proud of you Avery!" Harmon wrote on Instagram. "You have overcome & conquered & excelled to shine brightly with the stars! Remember to leave every place better than you found it & we are all so excited to see what God has planned for you!"

Days later, Avery was arrested for allegedly breaking into a North Carolina club on June 6. The owner of World Nightclub accused her and two 17-year-old boys of breaking in and stealing $500 worth of liquor. She was charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny.

"Ms. Harmon respects and believes in the criminal justice system. She is looking forward to her daughter’s day in court so that the real truth can be told from individuals who were eyewitnesses to the events," Harmon's attorney, George V. Laughrun II, said in a statement to PEOPLE.

Emery Hope Sehorn, 15

Emery Hope, Harmon and Sehorn’s youngest daughter, was born on Dec. 18, 2008. Ahead of Emery’s 2nd birthday in 2010, Harmon shared with PEOPLE how her older sisters were doting over the newest addition to the family.

“They’re really good big sisters. Finley’s been a big sister for almost six years now,” she said. “Avery is a great big sister, too, and Emery has learned how to work that to her advantage when she wants to!”

Thirteen years later, Emery started high school, leading Harmon to mourn how fast her girls were growing up.

“How? HOW is my baby girl a FRESHMAN?? Weren’t you born day before yesterday?” she wrote on Instagram in August 2023. “What kind of evil shenanigans in time travel is this?? Congratulations beautiful girl & We love you so much!!”

In November 2023, after Harmon made headlines for adopting a baby squirrel, she revealed that it was her youngest daughter who initially found the critter they named Thomas.

"So my youngest daughter found him on the sidewalk, and there was no tree to put him on," she told PEOPLE.

She said she told Emery to “go find the nearest tree, put them under it” until the squirrel’s mother came back, but the mother squirrel never returned.

"So, I was like, 'Okay, I'll come get him,' " Harmon said. "And then I've had him ever since."
