'Who Shot Simon Cowell?' was a big hit on last year's Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, though this year they are offering a whole new hilarious skit series.

'The Missing Crown Jewels' debuted on tonight's (February 25) series opener, and it's fair to say there are innuendos aplenty.

The skit pokes fun at Ant & Dec's OBEs, opening with ITV newsreader Mary Nightingale reporting on the pair's "newfound dignified maturity" at the honour.

Though that is far from the case as they begin to boast about their honour, and are taken to join a secret organisation by Silent Witness's Emilia Fox.

It turns out that Joanna Lumley heads the organisation "The Honoured", which is basically full of royal honours alumni.

However, they joke at one point that it is an organisation no-one will admit to being part of, "like the Stephen Mulhern fan club".

Shirley Bassey makes an appearance as she orders a "big case" of champagne, with other members including Alan Titchmarsh and Gareth Malone.

However, the two are tasked with guarding the crown jewels for one night, which of course leads to innumerable innuendos about the duo's "crown jewels".

Cue the jewels being stolen almost immediately after Ant & Dec get distracted by a vending machine.

Who pinched them though? We will just have to wait to find out – we're expecting things to go full Bond.

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway airs on ITV.
