Prince William's speech at King Charles's Coronation Concert, held on the grounds of Windsor Castle, has been perceived by some as a subtle dig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Cambridge, who is second in line to the throne, was the only Royal to address the audience during the historic event.

In his poignant address a year go yesterday, which came after Charles's crowning at Westminster Abbey, William paid tribute to his father's lifelong commitment to serving others. "Pa, we are all so proud of you," he said, with Kate Middleton, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte by his side.

William reflected on the words of his late grandmother, stating, "As my Grandmother said when she was crowned, coronations are a declaration of our hopes for the future. And I know she's up there, fondly keeping an eye on us. She would be a proud mother".

He emphasized the core value of service, noting, "For all that celebrations are magnificent, at the heart of the pageantry is a simple message. Service. My father's first words on entering Westminster Abbey yesterday were a pledge of service. It was a pledge to continue to serve."

The speech sparked reactions on Twitter, with several users interpreting it as a pointed remark towards Harry and Meghan. One tweet read: "Service Harry. Do you hear that? Not a free ride.", reports the Daily Record.

"SERVICE. Something Harry doesn't understand," one critic remarked.

Following the Sussexes' decision to step back from Royal duties, Buckingham Palace released a statement about their departure.

The statement from the Palace read: "Following conversations with the Duke, the Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of the Royal Family it is not possible to continue with responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service."

Yet, Harry and Meghan quickly countered with a statement of their own, stating: "We can all live a life of service. Service is universal."

A year after the Coronation events, the divide between Prince Harry and the Royal family seems to have widened further.

Prince Harry, who was present at the Coronation service but missed other celebrations, is due to return to London soon to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

He's expected to attend a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral in London on Wednesday, May 8, where he's slated to deliver a reading.

It is very unlikely he will see his father during this trip. Their last meeting was fleeting, lasting just 45 minutes when Harry made a quick trip back to the UK after the King's cancer diagnosis was announced in February, spending only a single day in Britain.

Sources close to the Royal family have ruled out any chance of a reconciliation between Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry.

Insiders revealed to The Daily Beast: "Both sides understand each other's position clearly now. William and Catherine felt completely betrayed by Harry's memoir. They don't speak to Harry and Meghan, and they are certainly not about to start when Catherine is at her most vulnerable."
