Ant McPartlin is reportedly planning to tie the knot with Anne Marie Corbett in the wake of his divorce from Lisa Armstrong.

The estranged couple were granted a quickie 30 second divorce on Tuesday, nine months after they announced their split.

McPartlin is said to be “happier than ever” in his new relationship and is reportedly planning to make it official.

“It’s no secret that Ant wants to marry Anne-Marie,” a source told Heat. “He’s had such a tough time with rehab and his divorce, and a wedding would mark a fresh start for him and Anne-Marie.

“It’ll most likely be a big event with all his friends.”

McPartlin and his former PA struck up a relationship soon after he announced he and Armstrong had split after 11 years of marriage.

They are said to have grown close while McPartlin was recovering from addiction. The TV presenter sought treatment after a drink-driving crash in March between the Mini he was driving and two other vehicles.

He was arrested and later fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months.

Armstrong claimed she was not made aware of her husband’s new relationship ahead of it becoming headline news.

She vented her fury on Twitter, telling fans Corbett was “my Friend and OUR Pa who I let into OUR home”.

The Strictly Come Dancing makeup artist blamed their split on “adultery” and McPartlin being “intolerable” to live with, according to court papers.

She broke her silence in the wake of their divorce on Tuesday, hinting that she was ready to start afresh after ‘liking’ a string of supportive tweets from fans.

One read: “Get ready to pull up your big girls pants tomorrow lovely lady cos it’s your turn to start afresh. #Thisisyourturn#.”

Another fan posted: “Just a message to let @lisaAmakeup know she is a strong bad-ass woman who I know will come out on top of this s*** storm she’s been going through. Mad respect for her!”

Their divorce will be finalised six weeks from today’s hearing.
