Ant McPartlin wishes Declan Donnelly a happy birthday in hilarious snap

Ant McPartlin has wished his presenting partner Declan Donnelly a happy birthday on social media.

McPartlin, who has taken a step back from all presenting engagements following a drink-driving conviction earlier this year, took to Twitter to mark the occasion.

The 42-year-old shared an image of Donnelly posing behind a black and red polka-dot dress laughing hysterically.

He wrote: “Happy Birthday from the big one to the little one! A.”

Fans flocked to the comments to share their best wishes to Donnelly whilst many celebrated McPartlin’s return to social media.

One user wrote: “Happy birthday dec! also, it’s good seeing you back on twitter ant, we’ve missed ya.”

Another commented: “Happy Birthday Dec! Hope you have a great day what ever your plans are. Enjoy your first birthday as a Daddy. Lots of love xxx”

A third added: “Happy Birthday Dec looking lush there.”

The celebration comes after Donnelly welcomed his first child with wife Ali Astall earlier this month.

The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here host told fans of the birth of his daughter on Twitter and revealed the couple had named her Isla Elizabeth Anne.

In a post from Ant and Dec’s joint Twitter account the presenter wrote: "Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o'clock this morning. Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels! D x."

He shared an adorable image of the new arrival grasping her dad’s finger.

Following the news, McPartlin took to Twitter to share his excitement, writing: “Welcome to the world baby Isla Elizabeth Anne. Can’t wait for cuddles. I love you already!! Uncle Ant xxxxx.”
