Ant McPartlin's baby son Wilder's middle name a 'tribute' to late relative
Ant McPartlin and wife Anne Marie have paid tribute to a late relative with their newborn son's middle name, as the couple continue to be inundated with congratulations from fans and celebrities.
Having been seen on the red carpet at this year's BAFTA TV Awards just a few days earlier, alongside best mate Dec Donnelly, Ant took to Instagram late on Tuesday afternoon, to announce that Anne Marie had given birth to their first child together. Sharing a black and white photo of himself cuddling into the little one, Ant wrote: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin.. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!"
As soon as Ant broke his family's lovely news, a lot of fans were left wondering if there was any significance to Wilder's middle name being Patrick and it has since been revealed that it is in honour of wife Anne Marie's late father Paddy.

A growing number of famous faces have passed on their best wishes to the proud parents, who married in a stunning ceremony in 2021. One of those quick to respond was Ant and Dec's Britain's Got Talent co-star Alesha Dixon, who as well as offering her congratulations to the couple, revealed that little Wilder shares his birthday with her mum.
The photo Ant used to announce Wilder's birth gave fans a first look at a poignant tattoo he has on his arm. The inking is designed like a family tree with Amzie, his nickname for Anne Marie at the top, her daughters Daisy and Poppy underneath and then their dog's name at the bottom.
