Ant McPartlin's ex-wife Lisa Armstrong shares cryptic post as he welcomes baby

Ant McPartlin's ex-wife Lisa Armstrong has shared a cryptic post about "silent battles" on the same day her ex-husband announced he had become a dad for the first time. The Britain's Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway presenter introduced his newborn son on the joint social media account he shares with co-star and friend Declan Donnelly.

Ant revealed that he and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, who tied the knot in 2021, had welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, May 14. The pair also shared that his name was Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin.

Just before Ant's post, his ex-wife Lisa shared a cryptic post about "silent battles" to her Instagram Story. The enigmatic quote she shared reads: "Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months. The silent battles you've fought, the moments you've had to humble yourself, the times you've wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength."

Ant and Lisa were married for 11 years but had been together for two decades. They announced they were splitting in October 2018.

Make-up artist Lisa's post came just before Ant revealed he and Anne-Marie had welcomed their son. Sharing the news with his 5.1 million Instagram followers, Ant shared a black and white photograph of him holding Wilder and wrote: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. "

He added: "Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess."

The announcement was flooded with well wishes from fans, friends, and celebrities. Davina McCall, penned: "Arggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!! This is AMAZING !!!! Congratulations to ALL of you."

While the team at Britain's Got Talent wrote: "Massive congratulations!" and Vicky Pattison added: "Congratulations guys Omg!!! Love the name."

Lisa recently showed Ant some support ahead of his and Dec's final Saturday Night Takeaway show. Lisa liked a post that hailed Ant and Dec as "simply the best" in reference to their illustrious showbiz careers.

Lisa gave her approval to the post which featured Ant and Dec and read: "After 20 years this amazing show is coming to an end it's been a real joy and pleasure to have been there from the beginning, and in my 30-year career in showbiz I've worked with some brilliant people but these two are simply the best!
