Anthea Turner's cheating ex Grant Bovey is on Bumble (and fibbing about his age)

It’s both amusing and a bit cringe when you come across someone you know on a dating app. Like a colleague or your house mate.

But multiply that times a million when you bumble across a celebrity – and a Z list one at that. Someone like, say…Grant Bovey. Former CBB contestant and erstwhile flame of Anthea Turner. Who cheated on her.

And it’s even better when it’s clear they’re lying abut their age.

Property developer Tovey, who is actually 56, was married to Anthea for 15 years before they split because of his affair with a 27-year-old socialite.

However it appears he’s on the look for love again after being spotted on the popular dating app – which is like Tindr but women initiate contact.

His profile includes a moody shot of him in a boxing ring and a sultry beach snap – where is mirrored sunglasses showing it’s a cheeky selfie.

According to the Sun, when asked why he shaved years of his real age for the app, he said: ‘It is my private life, I have got no idea about that. No comment. I am definitely 56.’

Weird.

Bovey also hit headlines in 2010 when he was declared bankrupt, went on CBB last year and admitted that Anthea, 57, ‘didn’t deserve’ how he had treated her.

He said the time: ‘You probably do think I’m a love rat, I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life. If I could turn back the clock and change things I would.

‘I went personally bankrupt and I was on my knees.

‘Completely and utterly on my knees. I was ridiculed and singularly blamed for the demise of the property market in the UK.

“Then I was publicly humiliated. I felt like ending it all, absolutely. When you are facing that adversity you go in a very dark place.”

Grant was badly hit by the property crash of 2008, which led to the collapse of his buy-to-let business Imagine Homes. At one point, it was said to be worth £100million.

And he was declared bankrupt in 2010 when he admitted he couldn’t repay £50 million in debts . He was discharged a year later.
