Anthony Cacace's first defence of his IBF super-featherweight title has been confirmed. The 'Andytown Apache' defeated Joe Cordina to win the belt on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk's 'undisputed' win over Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia last month.

The Belfast boxer will return on another huge night of boxing on September 21 at Wembley Stadium. This time he will fight on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's heavyweight showdown with Daniel Dubois.

It has been announced that Cacace will defend his title against Josh Warrington. The Leeds man is a familiar face to Irish fight fans, having beaten Carl Frampton at Manchester Arena back in December 2018.

The former IBF World featherweight champion is coming off the back of successive defeats. He lost his IBF crown to Luis Alberto Lopez before Leigh Wood beat the 35-year-old for the WBA featherweight strap.

It is a make or break fight for Warrington, who claimed a sensational unanimous points win over former two-weight world champion Frampton six years ago.

Cacace is coming off the back of a career-best win over former IBF super-featherweight champion Cordina, stopping the Welshman in the eighth round of their fight in Riyadh.
