Anti-War 'Queer Liberation March' Sets Off During NYC Pride

As the annual Pride parade took place New York City on June 30, the alternative Queer Liberation March set off from beside the Stonewall National Monument with calls for an end to “war and genocide” in Gaza and other parts of the world.

Organizers say the march, now in its sixth year, was being held for “Black, Brown, Queer, Trans, Gender Nonconforming, and Nonbinary Youth” and in solidarity with people in Congo, Sudan, and Palestine.

As the march progressed through the streets, participants chanted slogans in support of Palestine and in opposition to the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and Mayor Eric Adams, according to journalists at the scene. Credit: Queer Liberation March via Storyful
