Antiques Roadshow: Charity shop painting revealed to be worth thousands

An Antiques Roadshow guest admitted she was "astonished" after being told the value of a painting she bought in a charity shop for just £25.

- You go into the shop for a raincoat, you find an amazing picture by John Cunningham, one of his favorite subjects. What did you pay for it?

- 25 pounds.

- 25 pounds. That's 10 years ago.

- 10 years ago.

- I mean, I just think that's an amazing piece of luck. Because this is a very sought-after painting. And actually, it holds quite a lot of value. I can confidently say it's worth 4,000 to 6000 pounds.

- Wow. Oh, wow.
