Following his time in the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle, The Vamps star James McVey has gone and got himself a new tattoo.

The singer shared a picture of his new ink on Instagram, posting a black and white photo that shows the text above his wrist reading: "I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship."

Accompanying the image was a caption that read: "Goosebumps and ink. I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship. I learnt more about myself in the jungle than ever before, and there’s still a way to go."

Yep, it's the same message with some extra bits, so maybe the rest of his caption is on the flip side of his arm?

James recently appeared on TV to insist this his appearance on the reality show wasn't an attempt to build up his fame before leaving The Vamps.

"I wanted to do it," he said. "I'm very happy with my position in The Vamps. I don't want to go solo or anything like that.

"I wanted to test myself as a person. I struggle a lot in social situations with people I don't know, and I thought the best way to do it was to take away absolutely everything and just focus on being comfortable with myself."

James also said that he's thinking about proposing to his girlfriend Kirstie Brittain, admitting he was inspired by fellow campmate Harry Redknapp's relationship with his wife Sandra.
