It wasn't just Sair Khan and Malique Thompson-Dwyer who had to take part in a really disgusting eating trial on Wednesday night's I'm a Celebrity.

Extra Camp hosts Joel Dommett and Joe Swash were forced to get in on the action, too. Yes, even if Joe is still recovering after getting a bug stuck in his ear earlier this week.

Taking inspiration from Sair and Malique's Dreaded Deliveries trial, presenter Scarlett Moffatt announced the surprise task and teased guests Dec Donnelly and Holly Willoughby that they'd be facing one of those vomit fruit concoctions called Vinda Spew.

Then, after some protesting from the presenting duo (well, mainly Holly), Scarlett clarified that Joel and Joe would play along for them.

The challenge saw eight calzones placed on the studio table – seven of which contained pepperoni, one of which contained Vinda Spew.

"The aim of the game is to avoid picking the rank one," Scarlett explained.

So, with Joel playing for Holly and Joe playing for Dec, the trial got under way – and it took a fair few calzones before the rank one was finally bitten into.

Luckily for Joe, who probably couldn't take another trip to A&E, Joel ended up losing and downing the one with Vinda Spew.

Well, before immediately spitting it out and making Scarlett and Holly look like they were about to vomit their own fruit concoctions, anyway.

We're never having a calzone again.

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight (November 29) at 9pm on ITV, followed by Extra Camp on ITV2.
