A 'mini Chewbacca' won the 2017 National Dog Show

A mini Chewbacca has won the 2017 National Dog Show and we honestly couldn't be happier.

Newton the Brussels Griffon scooped Best in Show at yesterday's (November 23) event, triumphing over representatives from the hound, herding, working, terrier, sporting and non-sporting categories.

But you don't need to care about that. All you need to do is LOOK AT HIS ADORABLE FACE.

Of course, we're not the only ones to point out the resemblance to Star Wars' loveable Wookiee, but we take serious issues with anyone who has been trying to compare Newton to an Ewok as that's just harsh.

If you need more Newton in your life (and quite frankly, why wouldn't you?) here's a shot of him with his owner and his coveted prize.

Away from dogs, Chewie has been making quite an impression in the latest Star Wars: The Last Jedi teaser as he's seen punching a Porg.

Well, sweeping the excitable creature out of the way anyway.

This week has seen a whole host of Star Wars goodies arriving, such as Andy Serkis teasing more about Supreme Leader Snoke's role, the name of those amazing-looking crystal foxes and confirmation that Lando Calrissian definitely isn't in The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released in UK cinemas on December 14 and US cinemas on December 15.
