Here's all the performances from tonight's X Factor
We are approaching Boot Camp ever faster on the 2017 series of The X Factor, and tonight (September 23) saw a new swathe of new faces try their luck to impress the four judges.
The penultimate round of auditions saw some pretty impressive talent ranging round the globe, from Norwich to the Manila. Heck, there was even a former Eurovision contestant (who is now our favourite person btw).
Here is a round-up of all of tonight's performances, as well as the judges' comments.
Spencer Sutherland, 24 years old, from Ohio, USA
Spencer, who hails from across the pond, revealed this was the first time he had been away from home. He also did a terrible UK accent, but we'll forgive him. Most importantly, he explained that he chose the X Factor because that's where all the stars come from, and it seems he could be in with a shot himself after singing a rendition of Marvin Gaye's 'Let's Get It On', even duetting with Nicole! However, the judges had a few concerns about how unique he was.
Simon – YES: "You've picked up some really corny habits. You look like you've come into audition for one of Louis's boybands."
Louis – YES: "I agree with Simon on the bad habits."
Sharon – YES: "You've got a great voice, but you need your own image."
Nicole – YES: "I can tell how ambitious you are, I have hope for you."
ITG – Alex (18) And Leon (22), from Norwich
The two brothers from Norwich come from a musical family, though are more used to singing to elderly people at the hotel they work at. ITG stands for In The Genetics, a salute to their family. N'aww. They tried their luck with 'Don't' by Ed Sheeran, though Simon was not won over.
Louis – YES: "I didn't love the song, it didn't really show off your voices. Singing at a hotel you fall into bad habits, but you could be great."
Simon – NO: "There's a connection, but don't see you going places."
Sharon – YES: "You've got potential."
Nicole – YES
Matt Linnen, 28 years old, from Southend, Essex
The Essex plasterer certainly turned a few heads from the off – after all, he did admit he gets "hot and sweaty" in his job. However, he was here to do one thing only – show off his voice for the judges, and he certainly got them talking with his rendition of 'Trouble' by Ray Lamontagne.
Simon – YES: "Can I be honest with you? We've had so many good singers over the years, but if you're not writing your own material..."
Sharon – YES: "You have a very gravelly voice. Do you look at the floor when you're singing? Look at us, we're beautiful!"
Nicole – YES: "I want you to open up more. If you open those eyes and that face, the girls will just melt. Please own it and work it."
Louis – YES
Scarlett Lee, 19 years old, from Surrey
The 19-year-old make-up artist certainly came in with confidence, even bringing in pictures she drew when she was seven of Simon. In short, she's a big X Factor fan. Simon asked her to surprise them, Scarlett doing a medley that Simon subsequently described as "too annoying". She then performed Andra Day's 'Rise Up' instead.
Simon – YES: "What you've done, you've made it very difficult for yourself and us, because you're trying to be too clever with your vocals. I like you, I like parts of your voice, and there are parts of your voice that I can't bear."
Louis – YES: "Your voice is all over the place. But there's something great there."
Sharon – NO: "You're strong and confident, but your voice is all over the place."
Nicole – YES: "In the second song you fell into bad habits, but I think you're a voice to be reckoned with. We just need to shape you and mould you."
Rai-Elle, 16 years old, from Croydon
Student Rai-Elle said singing is "her life", and was understandably nervous as she made her auditioning debut on the show. However, she showed was she was made of with an ace and attitude-filled rendition of Awolnation's 'Sail'.
Nicole – YES: "Girl, fearless... you're just very courageous. My only worry is that you're too young."
Sharon – YES: "I liked the way you worked us all, great eye contact, great voice."
Simon – YES: "You're very professional. And you have attitude, you're like a canary that's going to bite my hand off. I predict good things for you, no matter what happens."
Louis – YES
Brad Howard, 30 years old, from Manchester
Nicole said she was looking for auditions with a bit of romance, and in style, The X Factor cut to 30-year-old model Brad. He admitted that the judge was "stunning", but did he have singing chops too?
Sharon – YES: "You're a sexy bloke, you're voice is very delicate.
Nicole – YES: "Delicate, but you do have a beautiful voice."
Simon – NO... (cue shock from Nicole)
Louis – YES
Peter Warwick, 51 years old, from Northampton
Peter brought a Victoria Sponge, and was in to impress Sharon. However, it seems he wasn't all about that bass.
Louis: "I loved the song, but I got no cake?
Sharon: "Do you dress in drag?" (it turns out he does, and his drag alter-ego is called Sheila!)
Afro-Swag – Kingsley (39) And Adasnoop (31) from London
They brought a special gift for Simon, and he even got blessed as the "chief of X Factor".
Simon: "The image and dancing is better than the singing. But people will like you."
Slavko, 31 years old, from Montenegro
Slavko has a bit of history with Louis, and the judge certainly recognised him from the off. "We met in Ukraine at Eurovision," he explained. "Slavko was representing Montenegro. I saw him backstage and said, 'you should do X Factor'". Unfortunately, Slavko didn't make the Eurovision final, though he managed to bag Louis' number... lucky him! The Montenegrian (and his epic braid) took on Beyoncé's 'End of Time' for The X Factor, even asking Simon if he was ready at one point. We don't think he was...
Simon: "I can honestly say I've never seen or heard anything like that. I always wondered what Nicole as a guy would look like."
Louis – YES: "Thank you for travelling all the way from Montenegro. You're a great dancer, not a great singer but certainly one of the best performers."
Sharon – YES: "You're tribal like with your dancing!"
Nicole – YES: "I'm not sad, I'm savage."
Alisah Bonaobra, 22 years old, from Manila, Philippines
Alisah, who hails from Manila, brought a whole load of friends and family to support her. She revealed that her life was "tough" back in the Philippines, explaining: "I'm only here because of my mother's friend, who contributed enough for a plane ticket here." Well, she certainly proved herself with a Beyoncé classic, making us all fist-pump on our sofas.
Simon – YES: "This is not the best version of the song, but there's something I really like about you."
Louis – YES: "She's adorable. There's something great about you."
Nicole – YES: "I'm crying, because I come from very humble beginnings too."
Sharon – YES
The X Factor airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 8pm on ITV.
