It's time for the Strictly Come Dancing grand finale, when one of the last four celebrities and their professional partners will dance their way to the Glitterball Trophy.

And to make matters even more exciting, the BBC has confirmed that there will be a change to the format of this year's final episode.

In the past, the four remaining couples who have made the final have each performed two dances before one couple gets voted out in the first half of the show. This has left three finalists to perform their third dance before the winner is chosen.

However, this year, there will be no early elimination partway through the final.

This means Joe McFadden, Gemma Atkinson, Alexandra Burke and Debbie McGee will get to perform all three dances – a Judges' Pick, a Showdance and their own Favourite Dance – in their bid to impress the viewers at home.

The viewers' input is pretty crucial as for the first time in the series, the decision will come down to this vote, rather than a combination of the public's favourites and the judges' scores.
