Here's when The Walking Dead crossover is happening
That crossover between The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead is coming really soon.
Since the announcement that the two shows will collide, fans have been wondering when the crossover will happen.
(It's got to be Abraham Ford appearing in Fear, right?)
On Walking Dead companion show Talking Dead (following the season eight premiere), creator Robert Kirkman confirmed that it is definitely happening next year – which basically narrows down the possibilities quite dramatically.
"I can't say much," Kirkman said (via ComicBook.com). "All I will say is that it's definitely going to happen in 2018.
"So that's either the back half of season eight, Fear the Walking Dead season four, or the front half of season nine.
"One of those options – but before the end of 2018, big crossover."

Scott Gimple, showrunner for The Walking Dead and executive producer for Fear the Walking Dead's fourth season, suggested that we will find out shortly more details about the highly-anticipated crossover.
"We will know more about it sooner than later," he said. "Sooner than later."

Gimple joining as executive producer for Fear the Walking Dead seems to suggest that it'll be a Walking Dead character crossing over to Fear.
Indeed, there's a lot of speculation that it will be the late Abraham. Here are three reasons which support that theory.
1. Abraham grew up and lived in Houston, Texas, which is north of Mexico. Fear season three was set in Mexico.
#WalkingDead Crossover, Abraham meets Alicia. Could work since he started in TX, they bring back a fan fav without messing up plot #FearTWD

2. Actor Michael Cudlitz, who played Abraham, posted these cryptic tweets on the same day AMC confirmed a crossover was happening.
