Over the past 13 years, The Apprentice's star Lord Alan Sugar has been consistently blunt and forthright when making his business decisions on the show. But what’s he like with the candidates outside the boardroom?

Well, Apprentice 2018 finalists Sian Gabbidon and Camilla Ainsworth have been shedding a little light on things behind the scenes.

"Lord Sugar – what you see is what you get with Lord Sugar, on and off camera," Sian told Digital Spy. "He’s pretty much the same."

Camilla, meanwhile, described him as "firm but fair" and added that he treats everyone equally.

"I don’t think it’s fair to engage in conversation with us off-camera. Because it’s a competition, at the end of the day," she explained.

"There’s a lot at stake, and he can’t go around building up a rapport with people. So yeah, on camera, off camera, the same."

"And he was the same with candidates," Sian added. "You have to have a level of business… even when you’re at the house and chilling out, you still have to remember that you are in a competition.

"It’s not Big Brother. You’re not there to have fun necessarily."

In tonight’s episode, Sian and Camilla will go head-to-head pitching their business plans to a host of industry experts. But who will become Lord Sugar’s new business partner?

The Apprentice final airs tonight (December 16) on BBC One, after the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards show.
