Arctic Monkeys will perform at Glastonbury, organiser confirms
The band's set had been in doubt after frontman Alex Turner got ill
Arctic Monkeys' set at Glastonbury is going ahead despite Alex Turner's illness, it has been confirmed.
The band are on the bill for a headline slot on Friday night (23 June) but there had been concerns after the frontman contracted acute laryngitis.
However, organiser Emily Eavis has now said that although it had been "a little bit close", the performance will go ahead.

She was asked about it during an interview on BBC Radio 2 and told presenter Zoe Ball: “He’s definitely – they’re on.”
“It was a little bit close there for a minute and we were thinking about whether we should have a serious back-up plan in place but no, thankfully they’re on so that is great,” she added.
Ball said she was thrilled to hear it, and in a nod to the band’s hit song I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, she quipped: “We will all look good on the dancefloor.
“That is mammoth.”
Music fans had feared that Turner would not have recovered in time for the event.
So they were thrilled to hear Eavis confirm that the set would go ahead.
"It's happening!" tweeted one excited fan.
"Thank goodness!" exclaimed another.
"They are amazing live!" posted another relieved fan.

Others said they couldn't wait to see the stars on stage.
The band - comprised of Turner, Jamie Cook, Matt Helders and Nick O'Malley - has played the Somerset festival before, in 2007 and again in 2013.
