Tickets for the 2024 Ulster SFC Final clash between Armagh and Donegal in Clones on Sunday, May 12 will be in huge demand, but some fans might be left disappointed with the majority of tickets being distributed via the county boards.

As has been the case throughout the Ulster Championship, there will only be a general sale of tickets if the participating county boards return tickets or season ticket holders do not take up their option of buying tickets for the provincial final.

GAA fans who are not members of a club face an anxious wait to see if any extra tickets are put online for general sale.

There were a limited number of tickets available for Donegal’s previous two Championship outings against Derry and Tyrone, with both games taking place at a sold out Celtic Park.

A handful of tickets were put on sale for the meeting of the Oak Leafers and Donegal last month, but Tyrone reportedly returned some 2,500 tickets for their provincial semi-final meeting last weekend, although they were quickly snapped up when they went on general sale.

Armagh and Donegal fans who are season ticket holders will be guaranteed a ticket for the final provided they’ve attended enough games earlier in the campaign. Any excess tickets are likely to go on general sale early next week.

The Orchard County are appearing in their second successive Ulster Final after losing to Derry on penalties in Clones and eased past Fermanagh in the quarter-final before Jason Duffy’s last-gasp winner saw off the challenge of Down in the semi-final.

Donegal ended Derry’s reign as provincial champions in the quarter-final before edging out Tyrone after extra-time in the last four.
