DC and Warner Bros are planning on gathering an all-female team of super-powered individuals for their Birds of Prey movie, but they aren't the only ones.

The Arrowverse range of DC TV shows are doing it too, as TVLine reports that Arrow is going to feature a similar team in the latter half of the current season that will be led by a familiar face.

The publication quotes showrunner Beth Schwartz as saying: "We are doing a Birds of Prey-inspired episode, that Laurel (played by Katie Cassidy) will be involved with."

The word "inspired" leads us to believe that they won't actually be called the Birds of Prey (probably for boring legal reasons), so we suggest the alternative titles of Fowls of Prey, Pigeons of Attack or how about Peckers of... Wood? Okay, we're not very good at this.

In the comics, the group has featured Black Canary (so we're close there with Laurel), former Batgirl Barbara Gordon in the guise of Oracle, Huntress, Batwoman and even Catwoman.

We feel like if Batwoman was to be a part of this group it would have been announced already, since the character is getting a lot of hype around her solo series and the fact she is an openly lesbian hero played by LGBTQ+ activist Ruby Rose.

More details on the episode are sure to surface soon, but for now we know that the episode will focus on Laurel's redemption arc.

Arrow season 7 airs on The CW in the US. The series airs on Sky One and NOW TV in the UK.
