Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday as Unai Emery's Gunners host Everton.

After losing their opening two games of the season to Manchester City and Chelsea, the Gunners won their next three League matches before beating Vorskla 4-2 in Thursday night's Europa League opener.

Everton's season has yet to really get going with three draws from their opening five games to leave them 10th, and Marco Silva will want a reaction after last weekend's shock home defeat to West Ham.

Head to head

The two sides have met 52 times, with Arsenal winning on 32 occasions and the Toffees taking seven victories - and just one of those away from home.

Arsenal put 10 goals past Everton last season, winning 5-2 away before sealing a 5-1 home win.

Team news

Emery is likely to recall a number of first-team regulars. The Gunners head coach made eight alterations for Thursday's 4-2 Europa League win over Vorskla Poltava but the likes of Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette will be pushing for returns.

Lucas Torreira took a knock to the knee during the game but Emery hopes he will be fine to face the Toffees, while Laurent Koscielny (Achilles), Sead Kolasinac (knee), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg) and Carl Jenkinson (ankle) remain absent. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a doubt with an ankle injury.

Provisional squad: Cech, Leno, Bellerin, Lichtsteiner, Holding, Mustafi, Mavropanos, Papastathopoulos, Monreal, Xhaka, Elneny, Torreira, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Welbeck, Lacazette, Aubameyang.
