Aston Villa will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after Tottenham fell to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Unai Emery's men will compete in the competition for the first time in their history after top four rivals failed to defeat champions-elect City. Villa all but confirmed their place in the prestigious competition on Monday night with a point against Liverpool.

The 3-3 thriller at Villa Park put them on 68 points meaning Spurs would have required maximum points from their final two games of the season. Fortunately for Villa, it went their way.
