Aston Villa star has played last game for the club after injury
Nicolo Zaniolo won't be available to feature for Aston Villa on the final day against Crystal Palace after picking up a foot injury in the 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Monday night.
The Italian suffered a microfracture to his foot and will be sidelined for a number of weeks, also ruling him out of EURO 2024. It's a devastating blow for Zaniolo, who has struggled for form throughout the season.
He joined Villa on loan for the season from Galatasaray and made a total of 25 Premier League appearances. He scored two goals, which were late equalisers against Sheffield United and West Ham.

Zaniolo has been linked with a move back to Italy this summer while his future at Turkish giants Galatasaray is uncertain. He joined them after a turbulent time at Roma.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport earlier this year, Zaniolo said: “I miss Italy a lot, my family, my friends, my son… Now, however, it’s up to the clubs to define my future, I belong to Galatasaray. In the meantime, I want to express my gratitude for Monchi, who has once again bet on me after taking me to Roma when I was 19.
He added: “I deserve more chances at Aston Villa, but I can say that Emery is one of the strongest coaches. I put him on the same level as Guardiola, Klopp and Mourinho. He is improving me in every aspect."
