Astonishing moment van driver repeatedly rams into car after veering into oncoming traffic

This is the astonishing moment a van driver repeatedly rams his vehicle into a car moments after driving his vehicle towards oncoming traffic.

Police say the incident began after the driver filled up his vehicle with petrol in Cheam Road before speeding off without paying.

During his spree, footage appears to show him veering onto the wrong side of Manor Road, Wallington, narrowly missing several cars coming the other way.

Footage shows the van smashing into the side of a Peugeot in Woodcote Road multiple times.

At one point the impact is so hard, it appears to lift the other car’s wheels off the road.

After driving around the vehicle, the van then rams it several more times by reversing into the car

The van is later shown speeding across a crossroads as the lights turn red.

Police have released an image of a man they want to trace over the incident.

He is described as white and aged around 25.
