We ate balut — the strange Filipino street food that's unlike any egg you'll find at the grocery store

We went to Maharlika in New York City to try Balut—a hard-boiled egg with a developing duck inside. Balut is a common street food in the Philippines. The waiter at Maharlika told us that this strange street food is as common as pizza in the Philippines.
