Awful thief tried steal from home of a deceased friend
An awful thief tried to steal items from the home of a deceased friend in Bedworth. Police say that Wayne Morrison made the sickening attempt at the address in the town on March 20.
But that was not the only crime committed by the 43-year-old from Mount Pleasant Road, Bedworth. Several weeks earlier, on March 6, Morrison became racially abusive while he was receiving treatment at the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton.
Morrison was charged with theft and racially aggravated harassment. After appearing in court, he was jailed for four weeks.

Police slammed Morrison's actions and PC Taylor from the local safer neighbourhood team said: “Morrison’s behaviour while people were trying to help him in hospital was total unacceptable. We welcome the sentence handed down to him.”
