Back on the Stump, Obama Says 'We Are Rejecting the Politics of Division'

Former US President Barack Obama took to the campaign trail on October 19 for the first time since leaving office, stumping at events in New Jersey and Virginia, and saying that voters were “rejecting the politics of division.”

Appearing in Newark, New Jersey, in support of Democrat gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy, Obama urged people to get others to volunteer. He also said people were moving against negative politics.
