BAFTA TV Awards results in full as Top Boy beats Happy Valley and Ant and Dec miss out
One of the biggest nights for British television, the BAFTA TV Awards took place in London on Sunday night, with Netflix's Top Boy beating Happy Valley to Best Drama, but its star Sarah Lancashire taking home the Lead Actress honour.
The BAFTAs have been going for decades and, on May 12, after we had the Film Awards in the run up to the Oscars earlier this year, it will be the turn of the leading lights from the TV industry to walk the red carpet and take their seats inside the Royal Festival Hall in the hope of taking home one of the many accolades up for grabs.
The event was hosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan with other winners on the night including BBC true crime drama The Sixth Commandment and its star Timothy Spall and Strictly Come Dancing.

The BAFTA TV Awards aired on BBC One from 7pm, but, just like the film ceremony, it won't be fully live, meaning that a lot of the results will have been announced before winners are actually revealed on screen.
There is a list of all the nominees below with the winners in bold.
