There was some controversy surrounding the results of the United Kingdom public vote, when it was revealed that Israel topped the standings.

The most controversial of this year's entrants, Israel have been the centre of a huge backlash from both other delegations and fans who have been in Malmo this week, with their act Eden Golan being booed every time she has performed in front of a crowd inside the arena.

Despite all the negativity aimed at her and Israel, Eden did qualify from the second semi final on Thursday, putting her in the line-up for Saturday's grand final. And, while she wasn't anywhere near the top 5 after the jury vote, Israel ended up shooting up the leaderboard when the televote results were revealed, ending the night with a total of 375, putting them in 5th place in the Eurovision final results.
