Bake Off's Candice used to teach new Love Island star
Is it just us, or do a lot of reality TV contestants know each other from before they become famous? Maybe the desire for the limelight is like a magnet which attracts them to each other, or there's a secret reality TV training academy that we don't know about where you're taught how to promote things on Instagram.
One of the four new contestants entering the Love Island villa tonight (July 16) is Stephanie Lam, and she's got history with not one, but two reality TV names.
As revealed on Twitter, Stephanie was taught for a bit by none other than The Great British Bake Off's 2016 winner Candice Brown.

Yassss girl!!! Hot as hell, smart cookie and gonna shake things up!! Think it’s coz she had a great teacher! (Yes I taught her, yes I feel old, but yes she’s smart coz of me 🤣) enjoy beautiful lady! #LoveIsIand @LoveIsland https://t.co/o9rTqp1HVj

Replying to Stephanie's tweet confirming she's joining the show (which has now been deleted, along with her account - but not before we saw the tweet), Candice wrote: "Yassss girl!!! Hot as hell, smart cookie and gonna shake things up!!
"Think it's coz she had a great teacher! (Yes I taught her, yes I feel old, but yes she's smart coz of me) enjoy beautiful lady!

"To clarify this is a giggle- I taught Stephanie when I was training to be a teacher- she's defo not smart because of me (yes I am being sarcastic in my original tweet!) taught her a little bit of PE! Am showing support because that's nice to do."

Stephanie herself has also admitted to going on a date with last year's Love Island contestant Chris Hughes, although she claims it was a "mates' date".
If that's not all, one of the other new contestants was the leading man in a Britney Spears music video. And speaking of music videos, Montana Brown from last year has just popped up in the new Professor Green music video. They really do get around!
Love Island continues tonight (July 16) at 9pm on ITV2.
