Barcelona and Cambrils terror attacks: What we know so far
Fourteen people have died in two terror attacks in Spain.
This is how the latest attacks unfolded:
:: On Thursday afternoon, a van veered on to Las Ramblas promenade in central Barcelona and drove through hundreds of people, swerving back and forth on the busy boulevard.
:: Thirteen people died and 100 more were hurt - 15 of them seriously.
:: The driver of the van fled on foot and a manhunt is ongoing .
:: After the rampage, people ran into shops and cafes and were locked inside for their safety.

:: Footage posted on social media show horrific images of bodies strewn along the pavement in pools of blood.
:: Three men have been separately arrested in connection with the attack . All of the men were arrested in Ripoll and in Alcana. One of them is Moroccan and one is from the Spanish enclave of Melilla in North Africa.

:: Spain's Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, said it was a "jihadist attack" - with a senior police official adding it was "clearly a terror attack intended to kill as many people as possible"
:: Islamic State said it carried out the attack, according to its Amaq agency.
:: At least 18 nationalities were among the victims , but no Britons are known to have been affected so far.
:: An Australian boy is understood to be missing after the attack. Reports say his mother is in a serious condition in hospital.
:: Hours after the Barcelona attack, five people wearing fake explosive belts launched a van attack in the town of Cambrils, injuring several people including a police officer.

:: The five suspected terrorists were killed during a police operation in Cambrils, a coastal town 62 miles southwest of Barcelona, shortly after 1am on Friday local time.
:: A spokesman for the regional government of Catalonia said: "The alleged terrorists were in an Audi A3 and apparently knocked down several people before coming across a police patrol and a shoot-out ensued."

:: Authorities reveal an explosion that killed at least one person on Wednesday night - at a house in Alcanar, around 100 miles southwest of Barcelona - has been connected to the terror attacks. Police suspect those in the house were "preparing an explosive device".
