Former Wales rugby league superstar Regan Grace has signed for Bath on a permanent contract. He had also been offered a deal by Gloucester

The 27-year-old wing made his name with St Helens in Super League before deciding to try his hand at rugby union by signing for French giants Racing 92. Unfortunately Grace ruptured his Achilles and didn't play a game for Racing, leading to his release from the club.

Thankfully, Bath offered Grace a lifeline, with the man from Port Talbot playing two friendlies against Gloucester and Leinster, respectively. He has now signed a contract until the end of the 2024/25 season with the option of extending for the 2025/26 season.

Wales boss Warren Gatland will no doubt be keeping an eye on Grace who also qualifies for England. Grace was one of the most prolific try scorers in Super League for St Helens scoring 88 tries in 141 appearances.

The Welshman is electric in broken field while he possesses sensational footwork and top end pace. He played a pivotal role in helping St Helens win three Super League Grand Finals and the Challenge Cup. "Regan has impressed both on and off the pitch over the last few months," said Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan.

"He has a clear point of difference in his play and that will be very valuable for our team. It’s great to have Regan on board.”
