Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a cyclist in Battersea who was stabbed to death by a gang armed with machetes.

Two males aged 17 and 18, were arrested on Friday on suspicion of the murder of Mohammed Hassan - known as “Little Mo”.

Witnesses described how he was set upon by a gang in a brutal attack on Saturday that left him sprawled on a car bonnet screaming for help.

He was heard shouting "Help me, I'm dying" at the scene before being rushed to hospital at around 1.25 am.

But he was pronounced dead around 90 minutes later.

A 19-year-old man was previously arrested on Wednesday at an address in Wandsworth, also on suspicion of murder.

He has been bailed until a date in late May 2017 pending further enquiries.

A police statement said that, at this early stage, detectives believe that there was an altercation in Ingrave Street and the victim was chased from the location.
