EastEnders favourite Lorraine Stanley has proudly flaunted her impressive five stone weight loss, looking radiant and full of health. The actress, who won hearts as the spirited Karen Taylor in the BBC series, took to Instagram to share her transformation, attributing her success to a revamped diet and fitness routine.

Lorraine expressed that her "new choices" have crafted a "new me". Lorraine's social media was abuzz with images of her basking in the sunshine at home, confidently giving a thumbs up. She also shared a comparison photo showing the remarkable difference a year has made.

Her caption read: "What a difference a year makes. Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mummy. Fit at 40."

Lorraine bid farewell to Albert Square last year just before the festive season following the dramatic exit of her on-screen son Keanu Taylor, who met a grisly end at the hands of Linda Carter. Despite making a brief reappearance earlier this year to delve into her son's fate, unaware of his grim demise, she did not return for good, reports RSVP Live.

Confirming her EastEnders departure in October, Lorraine reached out to fans via social media, saying: "Hey everyone! I'm so grateful for all of your lovely messages this past week. Thank you to Daran Little for creating the Taylors and to the BBC for giving me the opportunity to play such a fabulous character.

"I'll be sad to be saying goodbye to Karen Taylor and will miss all the cast and crew at EastEnders. However I'm looking forward to my next chapter and excited about being a jobbing Actor again and starting new ventures.

"Again your kind words of support have been amazing! ! ! I'm going to miss my Taylor/Baker famalam Clair Norris, Danny Walters, Roger Griffiths and Matthew Morrison. Much love."

After her departure from the cherished BBC soap, Lorraine has unveiled to her supporters that she's already bagged two brand-new gigs, both on stage and the telly. She recently embarked on filming for a fresh, hard-hitting British drama, named 'Departures'.

Plus, she's set to star as Queen Rat in this year's rendition of the pantomime Dick Whittington in her hometown Portsmouth.
