Euro 2024 viewers were taken aback as they spotted a famous face in the crowd.

The international tournament continued last night as Scotland took on Switzerland in their second group stage game. Steve Clarke's side bounced back from being demolished by Germany 5 - 1 with a spirited performance on Wednesday night.

Scotland took the lead when a surging run from Liverpool FC full back, Andy Robertson, ended with Scott McTominay forcing the ball into the back of the net. Former Reds winger, Xherdan Shaqiri, soon levelled proceedings from the edge of the box.

Nothing could separate the sides for the rest of the match as Scotland kept their Euro hopes alive by taking their first point. Viewers following the show on social media platform X were distracted by a famous face they spotted in the crowd.

Acclaimed stand up comedian and Mock the Week presenter, Dara O'Briain, was among the viewers who spotted Baby Reindeer star, Richard Gadd on the terraces. The Netflix star appeared on screen as the camera panned across the crowd after Scottish keeper, Angus Gunn, pulled off an incredible save to keep the scores level.

Ross commented: "This has to be Richard Gadd, right?" Another user said: "Swear I’ve just seen Richard Gadd in the Scotland end"
