A female diver took TikTok by storm after she defied a 'No Women' sign on a waterslide, an act that some have likened to "having an enema".

Australian Rhiannan Iffland, a seven-time world champion in cliff diving, posted a video of her daring feat which racked up over 37million views in less than a week.

"Apparently this says women aren't supposed to do this slide," she wrote alongside the footage. "Went for it anyway. Just once, but did it!"

The clip captures Rhiannan as she plummets down the vertical drop at breakneck speed, her screams audible almost instantly after the countdown. Commenters on TikTok pointed out the sign at Austria's Area 47 adventure park indicates a 'high risk of injury'.

Boasting the title of Europe's fastest waterslide, it can reach speeds of up to 80km/h. A study found in the National Library of Medicine notes that "water under high pressure can produce vaginal injury", which is likely the reason behind the warning sign.

There have been instances where similar slides have caused infections in women due to foreign bodies present in the water.

In one particular case reviewed by the study, it was determined: "Vaginal injury in premenarcheal patients may result from a water slide. The emergency physician must be aware of this potential injury mechanism and the need for complete examination under anesthesia when vaginal bleeding is present."

Rhiannan boasts almost 180,000 followers on the social media platform, and it seems a good number are all too familiar with the perilous effects of what's been dubbed a 'water slide enema'.

One follower lamented after viewing the video: "Unfortunately I got a water slide enema," adding: "Peed out half the swimming pool in the toilet from my butt. I literally couldn't stand upright after it happened. Weirdest thing I've ever experienced."

Another expressed their astonishment: "OMG I had no idea it had a name. Water slide enema. Perfectly describes what happened to me."

Meanwhile, a third shared their resolve: "Never going on this type of slide again.. it did me so wrong. went straight to the toilet."

And a fourth chimed in with concern: "The amount of people who got a water slide enema is scary. I've never even heard of that before. Well I just need one reason so thanks no more water slides for me."
