BBC Morning Live presenter Helen Skelton has sent a warm message to her colleague Michelle Ackerley as she rejoined the team after some time away. The morning programme, which is a staple for viewers between 9.30am and 10.45am on weekdays, features a dynamic trio of presenters; Gethin Jones, Helen Skelton, and Michelle Ackerley.

Michelle, known for her presenting roles on shows like The World's Strongest Man and Crimewatch Live, took a break from appearing on television screens for over a month to enjoy her wedding and honeymoon. The celebration saw her tie the knot with her fiance Ben Ryan last month.

Viewers last saw Michelle on Morning Live on Thursday, May 16, and she marked her awaited return on Wednesday, June 26. Upon her comeback, co-presenter Gethin couldn't help but tease Michelle by asking: "Where have you been? What have you been doing since we saw you last? "

These photos are absolutely gorgeous," said Gethin, commenting on the images that showed a radiant Michelle in her bridal dress with her happy husband.

Helen also expressed her happiness about Michelle's return by posting an endearing message on Instagram. Alongside a reel of Helen and Gethin preparing backstage, she captioned it by saying: "Because @gethincjones is learning what a reel is and @nancyspencermakeup @alexandrayoungfashionstylist and I like to play dress up."

She then added: "Glad we got our @michelle_ackerley back with us @bbcmorninglive this week," complete with two red heart emojis. Michelle's comeback to Morning Live happens after several weeks of the show rotating a roster of presenters, reports the Express..

Last month, viewers didn't see the usual team of Helen and Gethin; instead, Gaby Roslin and Rav Wilding took over the presenting duties. Helen's break from the screens was due to her commitments filming a Channel 5 travel series in partnership with Dan Walker.

The pair excitedly shared plans for their new series last month following the triumph of their initial venture, Dan and Helen's Pennine Adventure, which graced screens last year with adventures through the Pennines.

Morning Live has also added fresh talent to the mix, with Jason Manford making his presenting debut on Morning Live just last week. He we will be back to fill in for Gethin again come Wednesday, July 3, joining forces with Helen.
