BBC Morning Live star welcomes baby boy and shares unique name

BBC Morning Live star Alexander van Tulleken, known as Dr. Xand, has shared the joyous news of the birth of his baby boy who has a very distinctive name.

Television host and medical professional Alexander and his wife Dolly revealed their happy news with a post on the official Instagram of the show, reports the Mirror.

The message read: "Congratulations to Dr. Xand and his wife Dolly on the birth of their baby boy, with arguably the best name ever, Rex Patrick Anthony van Hoogenhouck-Tulleken. The Morning Live family has become even bigger and we can't wait to meet him!"

Faithful followers of Dr. Xand, aged 45, and Dolly showered the couple with warm wishes. Dragon's Den favourite Sara Davies expressed: "Amazing news! ! ! " while Great British Bake Off's Briony May Williams joined in saying: "Such wonderful news Congratulations."

Esteemed television chef Anna Haugh responded with: "Such amazing news. Congratulations guys xxxx." One enthusiastic viewer shared: "Lovely news this morning! Congratulations to the new family xx."

Strictly Come Dancing's Neil Jones also chimed in: "Amazing congratulations." Fans will recognise Dr. Xand from presenting the educative CBBC series Operation Ouch which he co-hosts with his identical twin brother Chris, as well as Channel 4's health show, How to Lose Weight Well.

The popular TV figure has often subjected his body to scientific evaluations on the diet programme. He has been a host on BBC Horizon episodes known as Sugar vs Fat and also Is Binge Drinking Really That Bad?

The news of Dr. Xand's latest family addition was also announced on BBC Morning Live when host Helen Skelton informed viewers: "We've got to jump in as we know we like to start the day with happy happy news. If you were watching yesterday you might have noticed there was an absentee at our breakfast bar.

"Often on a Monday we are joined by Dr Xand he wasn't here for a very good reason, he was alongside his lovely wife Dolly as they welcomed their son Rex Patrick Anthony van Hoogenhouck-Tulleken. Baby Rex is here!"

Co-star Gethin Jones added: "Named after his grandfathers. All doing really really well. Xand's smile beaming there isn't it wonderful." Helen continued: "I know you will join us all in wishing them the very best, congratulations Dolly, Xand and baby Rex."
