Ellie Leach has shared a cryptic post about 'shining' and 'starting again' after she was seen in tears during her reality show debut. The actress is continuing to appear in Drama Queens, the new ITVBe show that follows a string of glamourous soap stars.

The eight-part reality series will give fans a glimpse into the real lives of some of the nation's favourite soap stars as they juggle their busy filming schedules with photo shoots, award ceremonies and their family lives. As well as former Coronation Street star Ellie, fellow soap stars including the ITV soaps Lucy Fallon, Emmerdale's Amy Walsh and her real-life cousin Brooke Vincent also star.

In the first episode, the 23-year-old spoke about her experiences over the past year after leaving the cobbles and winning the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing. Ellie, who won the latest series of the BBC dance contest with her pro partner Vito Coppola, was seen in floods of tears after she opened up about her ex-boyfriend.

Comforted by her mum Karen, Ellie shared how she felt after her ex spoke out publicly about their relationship and admitted he had cheated on her. Speaking on the ITVBe show, Ellie said: "An email was sent to my agent and it said 'I just wanted to let you know that Ellie Leach's ex has chatted to us. He's really nice about Ellie and says she's perfect. He also admits to cheating on her. Thank you."

Ellie then added: "It was just a shock. I was like what?," before breaking down in tears. Consoled by her mum, she then continued: "I can truly, truly say that I gave someone my everything. And if that's not enough, then it's not enough. But i'm sure it will be enough for somebody else."

Ahead of the second episode of the series airing on Wednesday night (April 17), Ellie took to her Instagram Story and reshared a post from another account which featured a page from a book with a message that read: "I love how you shine even in this hard time, and I know it's not easy for you to see, but your light is still glowing unconditionally."

The poem later says: "And when you're ready to start again, the sky will pause and hold its breath. the stars will cheer and light the way, the sun will right higher on that day, your heart will beat a little stronger, and the earth will be left a whole lot brighter because you'll keep spreading home and lobe and reminding people that they are enough."

Ellie then followed up her post by referencing her cousin Brooke, who shot to fame in Corrie as Sophie Webster, as they both travel the country in their respective plays after making their stage debuts within months of each other. "Look who it is," Ellie said alongside what appeared to be flyers for her play, Cluedo 2 - The Next Chapter, and The Syndicate, by the late Kay Mellor which Brooke stars in.

Ellie added: "Always by each other's sides @brookelevivincent @syndicatetheplay," with a red love heart. Brooke reshared the post and said herself: "Awwwwwww [red love heart emojis]. ly [love you] xxxx."
