BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice declares 'love' for co-star after loved-up display with girlfriend

Giovanni Pernice sweetly declared his 'love' for his co-star just days after sharing his first loved-up display with his new girlfriend. The Strictly Come Dancing star was commenting on a post from his co-star and 'leading lady' Lauren Oakley.

While they are known for appearing in the BBC One dance contest together, with Giovanni joining in 2014 and Lauren in 2022 before getting her first celebrity partner last year, the pair have actually worked together for a long time with Lauren joining Giovanni on stage.

Their latest performing stint together has seen them travel up and down the country as part of Giovanni's solo tour, Let Me Entertain You. The dancer's latest tour kicked off in mid-January and after recently celebrating another sold-out show at the iconic London Palladium, the came to an end on Tuesday night (April 30).

Ahead of the last tour date, Giovanni shared a video to Instagram which captured moments from the tour in recent months, Giovanni said: "Another chapter completed! Let me entertain you what a journey!"

The Italian dancer then continued to his to his 1.1 million followers: "Thank you to my partner in crime /friend/producer @paul_stc and everybody at @strictlytheatreco for another amazing production!! 'We smashed it mate'. Thank you to @alanburkitt for creating another masterpiece. #legend

"Thank you to my leading lady/ star @laurenmayoakley For sharing with us your incredible talent and be able to cope with me everyday. Thank you to my cast and crew ..as I always say the show would be nothing with your hard work and commitment! Thanks to all of you who came to watch the show! Hope you enjoyed."

Meanwhile, Lauren, who was partnered with Krishnan Guru-Murthy during last year's Strictly, shared a dramatic picture of her and Giovanni performing on stage before posting beaming pictures of the pair taken in a photobooth. "One more," she wrote with a heart emoji.

She added: "Always a pleasure @giovannipernice." Quick to respond, Giovanni posted in the comments section: "Love ya Loz!!!" And the pair's fans and followers were also keen to shower them with praise and support.

Meanwhile, it comes after Giovanni's girlfriend has branded him the 'love of her life' as he shared his first loved-up snap of the pair on social media. Molly Brown went 'Instagram official' with the Strictly star last month. But now, Giovanni has declared his love for his new girlfriend in his own gush post in front of his 1.1 million followers. The dancer, 33, and Molly, 25, could be seen on an evening out with their arms around each other as Giovanni looked lovingly at her.

Giovanni made his feelings for Molly clear as he wished her a happy birthday in a sweet message alongside the photo. He wrote in the caption: "Happy bday to my beautiful!! TMABWAW I love you!" Molly was quick to respond, writing: "Love of my life. Thank you baby, TMABW."
